Class Information for New Beginners:
-When can my child begin?
We have open enrollment year-round (even through the summer!)
-How old does my child have to be?
We take children as young as 3 in our Pre-School class and as young as 5 in our regular Beginner classes. Since Irish Dance is broken down by level of ability and not by age, you will see Beginner dancers from as young as 5 through High School in the same class.
-How are the classes run?
It is important to know that the Beginner class is combined with the Advanced Beginner class (which then stay for another hour after the Beginners are done.) This approach has proven to be highly successful in building a family atmosphere, helping the younger dancers improve more rapidly and teaching responsibility to the Advanced Dancers. Many top-ranked schools around the world rely on this type of "one-room-school-house" approach. Due to this, you will initially see many varying levels of ability in the class.
-Who will be teaching the class?
One of our certified TCRG's will always be teaching competitive classes. You may notice some of our Champ Level students present in the class. They are part of a special program that invites them to help with the lower level classes so that they can begin to learn the mechanics of teaching, classroom management, etc... and also learn the dance steps necessary for them to take their "Grade Exams." They may help your child learn a step or two but it is always under a TCRG's supervision. They are a wonderful addition to the class!
-What about Class Time & Tuition?
Please check out the schedule and tuition pages for up-to-date Class Times and Tuition Prices.

-What should my dancer wear to class? When should they purchase a uniform?
What About Shoes? May I stay and watch the class?
Shorts, T-shirt, Socks. After several months, dancers will need to purchase "ghillies" (i.e. the Irish Dance Shoes), as well as the school uniform. These and many other questions can be answered by perusing our Parent Handbook.
